Company History

Jinan Overseas was established in 1999 by our founder, Ms. Liu. It was her dream to make it easier for Chinese children to study abroad.

Through personal and professional links built up over many years, the company started to build trust internationally and quickly signed formal agency agreements with many leading overseas institutions.

Ms. Liu identified the importance of high-quality advice and expert planning in helping Chinese families find opportunities to send their children to study abroad.

Ms. Liu and her entire team are passionate about helping each child to realize their individual potential. We believe each student’s future can be hugely influenced by the education decisions they and their parents make along the way. It is our mission to help them make the right decisions.

Shandong Province

Jinan Overseas is based in Shandong Province, though we also work with students and parents from across mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, as well as Chinese students who are already studying abroad.

Located on the east coast of China, Shandong is one of the largest and richest provinces in China with a population of over 95 million people (the second largest of any Chinese province).

Shandong has a long, proud history and is famous as the homeland of the Ancient Sages and the educators Confucius and Mencius. Education remains at the heart of life in Shandong and ensuring their children receive an excellent education is the first priority of the parents in Shandong.

The capital of Shandong Province, Jinan is the political, economic and cultural centre of the region. Known as the City of Springs, it is located less than two hours by high speed train from Beijing and has a population of almost seven million people.
